In today’s blog post, Seth Godin quotes David Foster Wallace on how he got to be “so dang smart”: “I did the reading.”
In just the past few days, I’ve come across other studies, articles, and blogs listing more keys to success, especially as they pertain to high school students:
• Involvement in extra-curricular activities
• Possessing a high level of self-control
• Not having access to a computer or cell phone in the middle of the night
• Having books at home
Each of those probably has some truth in it, and some of them share common ground.
What are some other keys to success, either based on your beliefs and experiences, or derived from what you’ve read or heard? Thanks.
